Year of the Buffalo
I did this as a cover for the New Year edition of a Vietnamese news magazine. I reworked and reworked this to my client's liking (without compromising what's acceptable to me), but unfortunately they still butchered it in the printing process - they warped the image and dulled the colors.
Even though I've adopted the attitude of being ready to "let go" of my art, I find it bothersome because I work so hard to get the shapes and colors right, to find out it's been altered at the last minute.
Let that be a lesson to us all.

ReplyDeleteI know the feeling, having had many pieces printed. The colors and composition are awesome on this piece. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteSteve - Thanks so much, man! That made my day.
ReplyDeleteJosh - I'm so glad you can empathize. Art mixing with business makes for a funny beast doesn't it?
