What I like about your work is that it's a mix between storybook and abstract. Is like you have Sendak on one shoulder and Steadman on the other - both poking at your brain with dip pens shaped like pitchforks.
I really like the top piece - is Pantone and drafting pen, right?
beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHoly CRAP Vi, these are amazing. What medium do you use to color? It's so well done I can't tell.
ReplyDelete...I'm guessing some sort of markers.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys! Arica, it was a mix of things, but yeah, prismacolor markers were involved.
ReplyDeleteLove these. You're awesome, dude.
ReplyDeleteVI! I don't know what the story is with that little bird boy on the shoulder of that dude with the wolf hat, but I WANT to know.
ReplyDeleteYay for blog updates!!
I'm really liking that caveman bird boy pic. Great stuff Vi Dieu.
ReplyDeleteThe hunter/gatherer in the elevator is hilarious! I love that he's uncomfortable, and everyone else seems fine, I'd have played the opposite.
ReplyDeleteSteve - thanks dude! And I see you're still using that drawing from our Story internship for your profile pic. Ha!
ReplyDeleteBrig - Yeah, I will tell you that story one day in the form of visuals...and I still need to make that sheep film. Yay for updates indeed...
Greg - another vote for the bird boy. Noted!
Munchanka - Glad you like the elevator pic. I know you like the ones that resemble far side humor.
